CRI: Feng Xiaogang Promotes Landscape Drama

The celebrated director is dabbling in the area of landscape drama, a new genre of entertainment rising out of many Chinese scenic spots.

Oxide Pang has begun production of Sleepwalker in 3D, a thriller that marks the director’s second venture in stereoscopic film-making.

Three charges against TVB boss dropped

The prosecution has withdrawn three of the corruption charges against TVB General Manager, Stephen Chan, and his former assistant, Tseng Tei-kun. The charges relate to the accepting of advantages. The prosecution said the decision was taken after reviewing the evidence. The remaining five counts — involving fraud and bribery — were transferred to the District Court for plea on November 23. A senior TVB executive, Wilson Chan, is the third defendant in the case. Bail was extended.
