“Many people tell me that after they watch the film, they go home and call the boy or girl that they used to like — or had a secret crush on — not because they want to have another chance to get together, but to thank them for the good memories.”

“Legendary Amazons,” a costume heroine-themed movie produced by Jackie Chan, was said to be the bloodiest film in recent years by a cinema manager after it was screened in Kunming Lijiang, Yunnan province, last weekend.

“No male actors have ever fought like that in a Chinese film before. So, seeing a group of women killing others in such a way was beyond our imagination.”

Born in the 1960s, the multiple-award-winning animation film “The Monkey King: Uproar in Heaven” is one of the most famous Chinese cartoons of all time. And now a 3-D remake of the classic cartoon is going to be brought to the big screen in January.

The production team also asked the original animation and graphic designer Yan Dingxian to join their team. The 75-year-old animation master was the chief animation director of the 1960s’ version of the animation film.

Some Hong Kong tabloids claim that is the case, citing photographs of Tse with three other male celebrities – all taken over the course of a year – as proof that she is no shrinking violet and may have used Chen as a tool to create publicity for herself.

Topping the domestic box office chart on its third week on the screens, Jet Li’s latest fantasy action movie “The Sorcerer and the White Snake (Its Love)” grossed an estimated 200 million RMB (about $31.4m) and still has a strong hold on the international box office charts, remaining at seventh place.

On the sidelines of the event, an exhibition was also launched to showcase the film’s production process. The exhibition consists of the pictures of the scenes, character modeling, and victims shot by an American journalist with Time magazine in 1942.

Josie Ho - next Bond film?

Or Tang Wei?

The new Bond film has been casting for a Chinese actress and front runners are Tang Wei and Josie Ho, according to this article. Li Bingbing, Fan Bingbing and Shu Qi are also said to be “finalists” being considered. The production company has been quietly interviewing candidates in Mainland China and Hong Kong last month. The role calls for sexy, bad and mysterious. Fan Bingbing and Li Bingbing are well known domestically in China but Fan’s English is not strong and Li’s is not as strong as Tang Wei and Josie Ho. Shu Qi has sexy but in “The Transporter” she did not have much dialogue. Tang Wei is considered the likely choice due to both her English fluency and notoriety from “Lust, Caution”. Josie Ho has the rebel image and fashion style, also, she recently worked on Steven Soderbergh’s “Contagion”. The film, directed by Sam Mendes, begins shooting next month so a final announcement is expected shortly. (Sina) Elsewhere, it’s being reported that the official Bond girl is French actress Berenice Marlohe

Already, Shu Qi’s performance has been anticipated for a Best Actress award next year according to Shu Qi’s former manager Manfred Wong. One scene in the alley required her to cry for 6 minutes. It has to be shot 3 times, so Shu Qi had to cry for 18 minutes. Lau revealed that Sun Honglei was originally planned for Liu Ye’s role but he was unavailable due to working on The Warring States. Liu Ye was selected because his personality was the closest to matching. Hu Jun was tender enough but too tall, Huang Xiaoming was deemed too small and like a brother.
